The Galveston Orchid Society

Our Mission

The mission of The Galveston Orchid Society is to stimulate interest and educate the public in orchids, their cultivation, conservation and culture through the presentation of lectures, exhibits, workshops and similar study groups. We are dedicated to orchid conservation and composting with a garden shredder.

Membership

membership dues:
$15 for a single membership
$25 for a family membership
NEW MEMBERS AND GUESTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME

Meetings are held at the Nessler Center 2010 5th Avenue North Texas City, TX 77590 in Texas City; The third Monday of each month at 7:30PM unless otherwise noted.

The GOS serves the local communities south of Beltway 8th & 1-45 South all the way through Galveston.

Library

The GOS has an extensive library for members to borrow. The materials are borrowed one month at a time. We ask members to return the items the next month. If you'd like to check one out, please contact Katherine Skinner Brown ahead of time and put in your request. She will bring your items to the meeting.
